In honor of what would have been Nicks 32nd Birthday this , the Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Foundation and Big Nick’s Riders were able to make a very special $2,000 donation to Cape Cod Healthcare during the weekend blood drive. Our donation will provide the funds to purchase the Orsense NBM-200 non-invasive hemoglobin analyzer that can be used to determine if a blood donor is eligible for a whole blood or plasma donation. The NBM-200 provides a pain-free blood analysis, and through its accuracy, reproducibility and ease-of-use, enhances the comfort and safety of the donor and minimizes the risk of infection to the donor or operator. With this donation, Cape Cod Hospital will be the first in Massachusetts to have this special device!
