(Especially Newcomers!)

Each year Big Nick's Ride for the Fallen memorializes USMC Cpl. Nicholas G. Xiarhos and honors all of our recent fallen heroes with ties to Cape Cod as well as all Veterans past, present, and future who serve our great country. Nick is one of 16 "Fallen American Warriors" from Cape Cod who made the ultimate sacrifice in America's longest war. Big Nick's Ride for the Fallen will celebrate its 14th anniversary in 2023. We would like to extend a special thanks to all our sponsors in particular Shepley Wood Products for their generous support which continues to make this one of Cape Cod's most exciting and memorable events.  And also a special thanks to Sea Dog Restaurant  for providing our post-ride food and entertainment for our 2022 BNR Ride.
You too can be a part of Cape Cod's largest motorcycle ride. Please support our brave troops and their families every year as a rider, sponsor and/or patriotic citizen lining the ride route with American Flags and homemade signs.

Don't worry about me Mom... I'm living the dream.

The Big Nick’s Riders

On a hot Summer’s day, third week of July

You’re going to hear Thunder but not from the sky.

One thousand Bikers from all over the Nation

Have come to Cape Cod for a big Celebration.

A tall young Marine 13 years ago died

He left behind Family and Friends who still cry.

The Big Nick’s Riders, they put on the Run

In the name of a Hero whose job is not done.

We ride for Big Nick and the others that fell

We ride for the Soldiers who come Home as well.

We ride for the Good and those most in need

We’re American Patriots “Living the Dream.”

So stand by the rode with a flag in your hand

And wave on the Riders who served this Great Land.

But when the sun sets and day turns to night

Remember the reason fo the Big Nick’s Ride

Nicholas George Xiarhos………….He answered the Call

Though all gave some……….. Big Nick gave all.

Big Nick’s Ride for the Fallen 2023

The Big Nick’s Ride family invites you to join us for Big Nick's Ride 2023.  The BNR Family includes not only the Riders but an expansive network of supporters throughout the Cape and beyond including: Nick’s very own family; the families of Cape Cod’s Fallen 16; the BNR organizers and support teams who are all volunteers; our wonderful BNR sponsors; the police escorts and first responders who ensure our safety and the opportunity to display our patriotism and ride below those amazing American flags; the homes who open their hearts and participate in the Patriotic Home Decorating Contest; the spiritual guidance, support and blessings from those of many faiths; and the staff at the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office. Those of us who have the honor and privilege to be part of the development and implementation of this amazing experience  wish to thank all the members of this wonderful BNR family for their continued support and understanding during these challenging times. You all help us to once again honor and celebrate the lives of these Cape Cod American Heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend our nation and guard our freedom.

And one very special note....what makes this ride so meaningful and raises the spirits of all the riders are the hundreds upon hundreds of members of the Cape Cod Community who line the streets and roads along the route. It is to all of you from all of us at Big Nick’s Ride that we extend the deepest and most profound THANK YOU from the bottom of our collective hearts and souls for your continued support.

The Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Fund is a fund of The Cape Cod Foundation.
